Homemade Creamy Coleslaw

This Homemade Creamy Coleslaw is the perfect side dish because it is both sour and sweet. The creamy dressing goes well with the crunchy cabbage and carrots, making a delicious mix of tastes. Its great for picnics, barbecues, or just as a cool side dish any time.

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium cabbage, shredded
  • 2 carrots, grated
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Shred the cabbage and grate the carrots into a large bowl

Whisk the mayonnaise, sour cream, sugar, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, celery seed, salt, and pepper together in a different bowl until everything is well mixed

Mix the dressing and add it to the carrots and cabbage

Spread the creamy dressing out over the whole salad by tossing it

Put the bowl in the fridge for at least an hour with the lid on to let the flavors mix

Stir the coleslaw well before serving, and if you need to, add more salt or pepper
